Yes. Distinguished Expert. For those of you not in the sport/competitive shooting world, that is the top of the pile and not many attain it. You need the skill (of course), but that can be learned. The other, more critical, two components are mental/physical discipline coupled with being able to establish and work towards a long term goal. Quite an accomplishment for a "not quite" 10 year old girl.
Oh - that looks like a little Winchester, but it is a Marlin 15YN "Little Buckaroo" that I worked over into a target rifle. Finding good target rifles for children isn't as easy as it used to be, so I made one up. :) +1...... good advice no matter what the activity. The days FLY by, and are gone forever all too soon. Daddy don't do Glock....Daddy is a C&V type of guy, and has a fondness for 1911's. |
a co-worker of mine invited a boy, who was picking up his daughter for a date, to go on a camping trip. he was holding a large spade in the middle of the living room.

That is my riding buddy Bob holding up a Lake Michigan King Salmon. They are tasty fish, and can run on the gosh-aw-ful big side. The one Bob is holding was 27 pounds. We caught four that day that were over 20 pounds a piece. I caught one that took me over twenty- five minutes to get in the boat. This is big-time fun. The captain of the charter boat and his first mate look like they just got out of high school, cause they just did! They were super skillful and a hoot and a half. This is an annual trip that I am very fortunate to take part in with dear friends. |
