She's lost, never to be

Although warned by my wife I checked Craigslist today. I was a few minutes too late (posted and gone < 1 hour).

My My My My (NOT) Miyata @ $30

The bicycle in question appears to be a 1987 Miyata 512, with aftermarket bar cons. To make you feel a little better, these bicycles did not come with chromed forks. This is obviously a replacement fork, which is usually indicative of a front end crash. While it is impossible to tell for sure from the picture, there is a good chance that the frame may be bent, just behind the head lugs.

Only slightly. The barcons are worth the $30.

The smokin hot deals around here really favor the old retired guys (me). Buyers available during the day for a quick pickup usually beat out the 9 to 5 crowd.

Too bad. I really like mine. Even had it set up with barcons like that for a time.
