This is a '73 (methinks) TdF I recently put together - it's not OEM but it's "Frenchy" enough. The next phase is to learn to build wheels and relace either Campy NR or NT hubs to some nice modern rims. For now, the bike is rideable "as is" - I know the colors don't exactly match (nor do the components - I have the Universal levers to match the calipers, but I didn't want to cut up the lovely cream bar tape to replace the Mafac levers already installed) but it's good enough for now. I've always wanted an old orange bike and now I've got one.
Very nice build.

Appears your Roma lass wears Arregui pillar and peds - a most international gal.

Check out the faux Reynolds sticker on that bike. I remember those circulating around back in the mid 70's. I think I still have 2 or 3. I stuck one on an old English Triumph 3-speed that I rode back and forth to college in 75-76.

I bought Steve's Peugeot PX-10. Picked it up from him yesterday and we had a short, rainy ride. Had a good time, despite the weather. Steve restored the bike so beautifully and the ride quality is tremendous on these Pugs, as many of you know. First time on tubulars. I sure dig them so far. Wasn't looking to buy another bike. This is my third purchase in the last month. This is too nice of a bike at too good of a price to pass on, though. Pretty sure everybody here understands that feeling.

Great color for your TDF. You'll have fun fixing this up and getting it back on the road.
I really enjoy my white TDF of the same year. It is super responsive, comfortable and a great ride for the last two CA Eroicas.

After a bit too much French wine, I was looking at Craigslist, and noticed the bike, and looking at the pics saw the ‘reynolds 531 not’ sticker in one of the pics, and saved it for future reference.

Well this isn't as old as my 47 year old Peugeot but it is over 20 years old. It's a NOS Vitus Argal frame from the mid 90s. With a totally modern build though.

Here is my Grand Jubile that is slowly coming together . The original fork and headset were pretty ugly but the frame was beautiful, I was able to source a NOS Motobecane Fork and then a NOS Strong Light headset after I had problems with the VO headset I purchased would not work . I also found a NOS set of Tange Swiss thread bottom bracket cups and a NOS Shimano 127.5 bottom bracket Spindle.
New Technomic Stem and Nitto Olympiad 45 CM bars , New VO brakes
A set of really nice condition 700C wheels with Phil Wood hubs .
With any luck in the next few weeks I will have it riding .

Okay, after a lot of doubts about which way to go my 1990 nostalgia bike is almost done: looking for Look PP76 compatible cleats and still in doubt about applying Scott decals to the bar extentions or leave it like this.

Early 70s Motobecane Grand Record I built up earlier this year. The paint job is doing its job well but it has fine lines running through it; that's not uncommon with older Motobecanes. Mechanically the bike is very sound and the parts are either original or period correct. I did swap out the 52/40 TA rings for 46/36 to get better climbing gears. I may track down a 32 tooth inner. The main changes are the campy NR seatpost and the wheels which are campy tipo hubs with ambrosio clincher rims. The dang stem is too short and so I'll have to rebuild it. I wasn't thinking about how short the rails are on a brooks pro. Maybe I'll try out a long rail saddle like a selle anatomica to see how the bike rides.
