I think Peugeots from this era, especially in silver, are amongst the best looking bikes ever. Well done!

I've shown this before, but it's had some updates. This is my 1972 Jeunet 630, repurposed as a gentleman's city bike with porteur-ish capability:

Indeed. They look even better with gold components as a contrast.

You mean like the gold MAFAC stuff on this France-Loire lawn ornament? (Remembering it still hurts)

Thought I'd keep this thread going because it seems like Bertins are underrepresented, and more importantly, I finally figured out how to post photos! (Apologies for the Italian Silca pump.)

Anyway, my 1978 Bertin C-35, repainted last year and then rebuilt to almost original spec.

Yup. That Italian Silca pump totally destroys it, Super LJ... And after this post, you'll need to apply to the mods for a new handle: "Threadkiller".

Just kidding!
That's an absolutely beautiful Bertin! - and a rare but welcome sight!

Stunning restoration!!! The fork rake is so graceful on this bike, and it's chock full of high-end French goodness. Well done!

Thanks Matt -

I tried to answer your PM, but it turns out I'm short on the required 50 posts to be able to do that. Yes, a TA rack. Designed for MAFACs, but will fits others, maybe with a little bending. Search for "TA rack" or "MAFAC rack" on ebay. Sturdier than it looks, but the platform is quite small. Hope this helps.

I've had my Peugeot Mixtie since new, bought the bike in 1974 and now it's my wife's bike! Has the original paint and decals, the rest are replacements except for the handlebars, stem, brakes, headset and seatpost.

Cheers!

I pulled this frame out of the weeds in the rain. It called out to me! It is a Jeunet Franche Compte I put components on it that seem to go together, albeit not stock. It turned out to be a nice riding bicycle. Decals done expertly by Velocals from pictures and drawings. Nice work Mr. Anderson.
