Hi DsmBerg. I did a thread on that bike, but can't find it right off hand. It is a '75 Motobecane Le Champion. With a couple of changes.
I put a set of Record brakes on it just because I had them. Removed that Cinelli saddle though and now have an Ideale 92 on it. Painted the Silca pump to "match", sort of.

What I believe is a 1978 Motobecane Grand Touring, love it, ride it to work almost every day, and around town pretty frequently on the days I don't ride hard, I got it for nothing, and all I did was tune it up, grease it, new cables etc. She's a beauty, I'm too impatient to take good photos most of the time.

Latest addition to the herd, pictured as it entered the premises. A Gitane TdF. 1972, methinks. It's the French version, so only the main tubes are 531. In rough shape, but it came with some cool stuff.

The crank set is in great shape, and will probably end up on another bike of older vintage.

This gadget too. Pity someone has sawn off a bit. Some filing and sanding should improve its looks.

That cable router is cool. BTW, a common rubber hole grommet may fit it, but will likely be black. I have a bunch if you need a couple of them to try.

Thanks. Yes, there was less than half an inch of stem left in the steerer. And no cracks, so this must be one of those famous French unbreakable stems.
Thanks too for the grommet trial offer, but I'll try to find some locally first, before having you ship them halfway across the globe.

Mercier Mixte
A Mercier Mixte I recently built for my daughter. She is unimpressed, but I cant help looking at the almost 4th of July cream and white colors. The simplex FD and RD plastic must have failed at some point and have been replaced with Suntour units. I gave away the steel wheelset and fitted 700c with Suntour Pro Am hubs.
So a bit of Franco-Japanese parts now.
