Just picked this up:

Before taking the pix I replaced the tires, cables, rear derailleur (removed a Suntour Cyclone & installed a mint Simplex Criterium) and pedals. It got a light cleaning,which was all it needed.
I believe that with the exception of the tires, Barelli pedals and Dia-Compe brake levers, this bike is original as they come. It has a Simplex seat post, and the QRs still have their black rubber boots & Delrin wingnuts.
Compared to my other, less original PX-10:

the one has the plainer lugs and more relaxed geometry. They are both 57cm square. I can't say anything about their comparative ride qualities as I haven't put more than a few hundred yards on the plain-lugged one.
If any of you Peugeot wizards know why the geometry would be so different on two same-size PX-10s in the same livery (indicating they differ in age by a very few years), I'd love to find out.

@aixaix, it could be simply a matter of which lugs were on hand, and the lugs dictated the frame angles.

PX10 head tubes became steeper some time in the seventies. I have one of those and I don't like it. It's too twitchy for me.

How's about something different? French & cool though: )
La Francaise Diamant, from early 60s? (Not quite the French Diamant from pre-war!)
I love the curvy lateral mixtes.
Needed a repaint this one & it's almost finished here.
Needs the Cibie bottle dyno connecting up, for example.
Lots of original parts.
Pedals, grips, chain-wheel, guard, bars, (with name-plate on top) very cool mudguards, wheels. I gave up with the original 4 speed derailler & installed a Sturmey Archer AM hub. Brilliant for a town bike.

Thanks for the compliment! I took it for a quick spin last evening, and I just couldn't wipe the grin off my face the whole time. Maybe it was just that moment of satisfaction after all the work, but the speed and handling were spectacular. Thanks bikeforums!

This is my second Peugeot. The first was stolen in'68 before I'd had it 3 mos. It's an '80 P-8 Super Sport
15 speed I picked up 2 wks ago for $25. The price range on all my bikes has been $0 to $60.
Then again, I've spent well over a $1000 fixing them up.
