Nice bike. I agree with everyone, based on the decals, your PX10 is a 70-73. Weird BB and serial number. The rear derailleur can be Prestige instead of Criterium. With that cable guide and the Prestige rear derailleur, me think it is closer to 1970 than 73. I guess it is a French bike and the French are weird.

It's not a '57 for sure. It is definately from the early seventies. In '57 there was no PX-10. They had a PHX-10 that was blue with yellow accents( a fabulous bike for so early too!!), and the Simplex criterium deraileurs weren't even made yet.

Oh, yes french bikes are weird for sure! But, I'll take one any time!!

The front is a parallelogram, not piston type. His rear derailer may be an earlier version of the Criterium than mine.

I think the early '70s had the piston-type front mech.

What about metal-clamp front derailleurs versus delrin-clamp front derailleurs, all piston-type? Model difference? Year difference? Just random pick of parts on the assembly line? When a strike is impending we use the delrin, and when there's been a contract raise we use the metal?
