Bridgestone MB-1

Hey all,

My boss recently mentioned that he has an older Bridgestone MB-1. All I know is that it is blue and
has been ridden about 50 times. I don't have any pics but was wondering what is a fair price to offer
for this bike? Thanks for any info.

$200 to $300, maybe a tad more depending on condition. Its a highly sought after MTB.

The number of times it has been used has little bearing on value. Its a lot more about how it has been stored since then. Even bikes that have never been ridden deteriorate rapidly in poor storage conditions. Meanwhile, a bike that has been ridden a lot, but always well maintained and properly stored could have a lot of value in the market.

Sure it is an MB-1? I don't think it ever came in blue...

I recently purchased an outrageously nice MB-1 for my youngest son. It is white and super clean. Paid $275 for the bike and racks, plus another set of bars that the previous owner never installed.

Are you sure it's not an MB-2? They were made in cobalt blue. I have one.

I have a navy blue MB-1. Not sure of the year, but it is an early one.

Turns out he was mistaken and the bike is actually a BB-1. Sorry about the confusion. I probably won't make an offer on it.

Or maybe CB-1, the City Bike series?

The '92 catalog refers to the "BB" in BB-1 as "Basic Bridgestone," or "Best Buy." It was their least expensive model, certainly a world of difference from the MB-1.
