Question about Sekai 2700

Someone on CL is selling a Sekai 2700 for $135. I made an offer for $80 and they guy said the crankset is worth $75 alone. That sounds a little off to me. Anyone know what crankset came stock on the Sekai 2700? Shimano?

So offer him $75 for the crankset, adn $5 for the bikes, cause what good is a bike without a crankset.

An earlier model had Sugino Super Maxy cranks:

I'd aim higher. No value to arguing with a seller. I had a guy a couple of weeks ago tell me his 1971 Varsity cost $600 new.....

Make sure the seat post is not stuck if you buy it. I never trust a bike when I see the seat post bottomed out like that one.

I can't tell from this pic or the ones in the ad...........but the 2700 I have is IMO worth that asking price. It has the Super Maxy crankset, Tange Champion tubing with forged drops, integrated hanger and the alloy wheels are straight and true. It's a great bike with a decent ride and I'd hang on to it if it were my size..........but I won't let mine go that cheap either.

Yeah, that's the one. There's a super maxy crankset on CL going for $75 so I'm guessing the seller searched the name of the crankset on CL and found that particular ad. But of course people are going to try and get the highest price for what they're trying to sell and I don't blame them. I sell my stuff on CL all the time and I want to get as much as I can for what I'm selling, though I'll budge when I know it's only fair to.
