It took a front hit and has the usual top tube and down tube ripples. Thats not to big of deal as the head tube angle measures about the same seat tube angle. If anything a front impact would leave it more steep. The forks steerer tube is bent as well. Measured at the top, while installed, the steerer tube moves about .030" as the fork is rotated. There's no way to get a good headset adjustment.

Cliff notes:

1. top and down tube ripples
2. head angle appears normal
3. for steer bent
4. dent in top tube
5. paints been rattle canned
6. no internal rust
7. minor rust stippling on rear stay chrome

So, does it have a date with the dumpster?

Garage art.

I had a Nishiki Olympic 12 that I did that to. I bent the fork back and rode it for a while, but as soon as I got another bike, it was done. It has no value, except as perhaps a bike to put on a trainer.

Yep, dumpster or recycle bin. Might save the fork just to play around a bit.

Ah, purple originally? Might explain the rattle can job... few men enjoy "Purple Rain" serenades while riding.
