Schwinn Super Sport, Masking tape and Rock Shox stickers

I paid more than I normally would for something like this today. But it was one of my favorite things-
A made in Japan Schwinn.

I have no idea how bikes end up this way but once I get the stickers off it should be a nice ride. I am digging the gold Arayas and Suntour group.

If anyone wants to toss some info out I would appreciate it.

Headbadge-034
Serial on headtube-4D04044

If you take those Rock Shock stickers off the ride will be a lot harsher.

It's a 1984 Super Sport. The frame serial number indicates April, 1984.

Nice bike.

But you may save close to a pound once all of them are gone
Nice find!

Painters tape is off the bars and most of the stickers are gone. Looks like the rear triangle is Chrome along with the fork. Paint looks to be in decent shape.

Actually, I don't mind seeing a bike personalized, since it at least indicates some enduring interest in the bike. I guess I am happy to see a bike get ridden.

But that tape on the bars is just stunning. I have been known to wrap bars with multiple layers of hockey stick tape (it works out better than one might guess), but that is not even a real attempt at a solution.

All the stickers are gone. Turned out to be mostly MTB stickers. Gonna sell the seat and add new tires, seat, pedals and bar tape.

Cleaned up and ready to go once I install different pedals. I am hoping to ride this in the upcoming MS150

Very nice. Did you find it on CL or what? (Cuz I didn't see it there...... you might have had a bidding war if I had!)
