In a quandry. Help me spend wisely.

My Falcon project is complete, and I took it out for a 15 mile spin this weekend. Stopping was certainly exciting! I kept the original weinmann centerpull brakes, but the front brake seems to be missing the little plastic piece that keeps the pivot in the proper place, and keeps the brakes together. So I have some questions:

1. Is that little plastic piece available?
2. If not, and I replace my brakes, should I go with the nutted Tektros, or would a set of dia compe 610 brakes be good? If not that, how about the centerpulls that Riv sells?

I like both types, but they are all pretty much the same price - everything is about 55 dollars. Except the 610 set, which can be had for about 30. Which is money best spent?

Do you mean those red bushings? I bet someone has a scrap brake around here that they can pillage. I may have one, if I do I can send them to you for free.

Yes, that's what I need. If you do, I'd love it. These are for my "main" roadbike. No riding until I solve this problem.

The little red thing isnt needed. IF everything is straight and setup right the little stud should follow the groove with a minimal amount of friction.
