On a bike I'm hoping to eBay today (please if you figure it out, I beseech you, please don't bid against me!!! :))...the manufacturer identifies them only as Shimano A350. I don't find anything searching for that and am trying to gauge where this stuff falls quality -wise (I know it's not high in the hierarchy...)
Any help appreciated. http://home.comcast.net/~khatfull/images/tiara/rd.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~khatfull/images/tiara/fd.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~khatfull/im...ra/caliper.jpg |
This is late 80s non-group Shimano. The brakeset is top notch. Equal to 105 at the time (which was the best caliper brake of the time). Often found in Dura Ace-equipt bikes. The derailleurs are about light action/Exage Motion level as far as quality goes, but they index better than any Suntour or Campy product of the late 80s.

Bigger pic: http://home.comcast.net/~khatfull/im...a/tiara4sm.jpg Plan it to lighten it up some with white saddle, tape, cable housings, and a white powder coated stem. The other color variant, a blue one, had a black saddle, white tape, white stem, and white brake levers. This variant had white bar tape but that all that shows in the catalog page at classicfuji.com: http://classicfuji.com/1988_12_Tiara_Page.htm Don't know if it was any different, I bet not. |
