'93-ish frame based on the entry/exit points for the top tub cable guides and the previous drive train.

Corsa Extra, SLX. Looking for a little touch-up paint if anyone's been able to match it.

DA 7700 9 speed with STI's, Campy Lambda rims laced to DA 7403 hubs, Merckx ProLogo saddle, 3TTT bars and stem.

Full frame shots to come. It's dark and cold here and I'd rather shoot those outdoors.

Yep, bought last summer from a shop in Germany and had it shipped over.

Had full Shimano 600 on it that was OK (it will wind up on a more mid-line frame), but I thought the frame deserved a better set of components.

Actually cleaned up pretty nicely once it was rubbed out and waxed. Never had a set of Lambda's before- nice rims.

Thought I had noticed it before.

My eyes are constantly glued to Euro ebay sites.

That color is special, no doubt.

...and yes, the Lambdas are nice rims.

I have a nos set squirreled away for something...

Way too many wheelsets around here though.

7-11 Corsa Extra, bought frame & fork & some parts from Gioscinelli (see his post on previous page) a few months ago. Recently I replaced the ksyriums w/ 8speed dura ace / mavic wheels. Saving the ksyriums for the mtns.

I like watching rccardr build Cannondales and Schwinns as much as the next guy....but I REALLY like watching him build Merckxs!

(now if only we could convince him to start using Campy....)

...that greenish tinge on the brake bridge in the photo above is actually a reflection of the seat tube. Shiny!

And, the requested partial build full frame shot:

delicious! great combo of green and chrome. excellent!
never been a fan of dura-ace (more of Shimano style) personally, but somehow it really makes great harmony here.
there seems some similar sophistication on both EM frame and the DA bits.
thanks for sharing.

Looks great, per usual.

DA looks great on Merckx bicycles.

I was always a fan of 7400 and 7700. for sure.

You've got a tiger by the tail, please keep the pics coming!

Looks like my kind of fun.

Yep, an '85 Corsa SL in Faema colors. 6 speed 7400 Dura Ace with NOS levers and hoods, Chinese SSM Regal knockoff that's surprisingly good, red tape and housing. Not pictured are the 3TTT stem and bars and a set of 7400 hubs laced to MA40 rims with Specialized tires in red, white and black that aren't too garish but go nicely with the paint scheme.

Frame isn't perfect but it's touched up well and after being polished and waxed it will do quite nicely. Love that flat crown fork with the detailing inside the legs.

Here is the 1982 Merckx. Campy Super Record with Look peddles and newer campy brake levers. I've got two sets of wheels one clincher and one sew-ups. The red one is mid 90's and did have 8 speed Durace and now has Campy 10 speed Centaur.

So very nice.

There is a complete version of this bicycle in a bike/coffee shop in Stillwater, MN.

Unfortunately it has a few drool stains on it.

That green and chrome EM is perfect in the colourway department to me. Love to see pics when it is completed. You do build some seriously beautiful bikes, sir, Well Done.
