I really want to try the Challenge Chicanes, so I don't see this as a down grade.
The Chicanes have great reviews as a race and gravel tire, so I'll start looking for a decent price.
They are rather spendy for a clincher though.
I'll likely order the Bruce Gordons for my Fargo.
I'm itching to try those this season.

I don't particularly like the race bikes of today. However, I think a lot of the paint schemes are pretty cool.

I hope this doesn't seem like I'm back pedaling, but that looks pretty nice. In fact, one of my riding buddies has a Trek that is ivory and metallic red with black trim. Normally I am not a big fan of the look of Trek bikes in general, but there's something about his that looks great, especially in the sun; I think it's the metallic red. So I am not totally opposed to the black, white, and red designs. It just seems like a very large percentage of the carbon bike manufacturers out there are using it as an option on most of their models. In fact, there was a thread in the road forum a while ago asking why that color combination was so prevalent. If I had a choice to get an EMX-3, I'd probably pick a different combination, but if I got a good deal on the black/white/red combo, I'd jump on it like a trampoline! How's the ride?
