Thanks, I will have to watch it. My bike is a 1992 team bike that belonged to Michel Zanoli. He didn't make it through the racing season because he got kicked off the team for punching out Davis Phinney near the end of the 1992 Tour DuPont race.

Extra Small

50cm Seat Tube x 52cm Top Tub with 650c wheels. Way too small for me, it is listed in the for sale section. Need to order some new tubulars.

Has anyone found any matching touch up paint?

Bikes: 12(ish) Merckx (and counting), a museum full of neat things, and a Cannondale tandem. Oh, and a kickass Venzo Kerbmaster.

IMO the carbon fork and stumpy threadless stem with spacers let this build down. The Michelin tyres look a bit pedestrian on a racing bike, some nice gumwalls would look the part, not to mention aligning the tyre labels with the valves.
Glad I wasn't asking for your approval mate, or the work that went into bringing a dead frame back to life would have been completely wasted!

It's a replica, not a fake - with honesty being the difference. The chevrons are intentionally incorrect, as is the addition of a carbon fork and a 1990 livery on a 1998 frame. It won't win prizes, but it'll make a Merckx fan very happy, and that's why I'm in the game of restoring and reimagining bikes from this and other great brands.

Genuinely sorry that you don't like it, I try to build beautiful things that will be loved for what they are.
