Yes, I'd like to know as well.
I do have a Corsa Extra frameset I received from the ever lovely Mrs. Gomango for my birthday.
Mine is a 58cm, and is a gorgeous 7-11 Replica.
Will be a little spendy to build from scratch.
There is an incredible Corsa Extra available locally though, about 5 minutes away from our house, that may be less expensive in the long run.
Not that I need another bike mind you........

I have one ( hole bike) but size is 55. Wanted to keep it until I find one in good shape and size 58.
I know, my price isn`t cheap but I am not in a hurry and there are already a few people interested
for that price.

That's certainly he doesn't really want to sell it pricing. It's a beauty, but that's just insane.

I have the identical Century with ( Kelme? ) colors. 1992 Does this bike have any value? It is in beautiful condition with original Chorus grouppo.

A Falcon/Merckx I got as a frame and fork. Had it powder coated "Safety Orange" and built it up with modern components. I got new cable clips and now they route over the top tube. From 20 feet away it looks an awful lot like the bike on the cover of "The Competition Bicycle" which was kind of my goal.

My bike has many more than 20 miles! The seller may be dreaming, but so am I. Mine has many thousands of miles on it and the requisite wear, but the paint job has held up beautifully. So... Corsa Extra, new with full Record components $ 3099.00... Used Century with Chorus components..... $ ???? Bikes are only worth selling if they can significantly defray the expense of the new. Unfortunately, the $$ I paid for my Merckx in '92 are a pittance compared to today's prices. I do feel that the 18 year investment in the Merckx has paid off well and am inclined to look at my next bike that way, as it is my primary " fitness " investment. Maybe I could get a rebate from my health care provider!

I'm a little curious if people consider the Merckx Falcons to fall under the category of Eddy Merckx bikes...
I would not consider a Merckx Falcon a Merckx...I consider it a Falcon with Merckx decals (and not really relevant to a Merckx thread).

To me the only exceptions on considering a Merckx bike to be a real Merckx bike are the Merckx bikes built by Litespeed and the carbon bikes that Eddy designed and had built for him (either in China or by Pinarello). I still like looking at the others but Eddy did not have a hand in designing or building them.

Did Merckx design or build the De Rosas he rode to victory in Le Tour? I'd value one of those more than any bike I will ever own. He did sign his name to a contract that allowed Kessel and Falcon to produce bikes in his livery and he got paid for it.
Again, what I'm desperately looking for is a Huffy Lemond signature 10-speed with a 25 inch frame. Is it a real Lemond? Hey, the dude's name is signed right on there.

yeah, but look at the shipping price
I still wouldn`t have sold it if it were my size. This bike is just outstanding!

I'm probably being a snob, but calling a badged Falcon a Merckx is an insult to a Merckx and is a semantic game. Would you consider a Murray labeled Serotta a Murray? If you sold it on ebay would you just call it a Murray? You would call a Serotta with a Murray decal a Serotta because it has more cache. Calling the Falcon a Merckx is an attempt to give it a cache it doesn't really have. It's a Falcon with a cool label.
I don't call my Raleigh Professional a Raleigh Team...even though it says team on it.
