Not "vintage" per se, but definitely a classic:
2004 Eddy Merckx Team Sc. One of the last generation of Belgian-built Merckxes. The P-51 Mustang of aluminum race bikes: the last and best. Fast, light, SWEET ride and handling!
These pics are from the ebay listing. Currently has a different saddle (WTB SSTX) and stem (longer and lower). Will be swapping out the cranks (172.5's on a 62cm frame? REALLY?!?!), tires (I don't like Contis) and bar tape. Now if I can just figure out why BF won't let me upload MY pics...

Hmmm,....probably about my size :-) How long is the ETT? Crank length? Any idea who the original rider was? Interesting that they left the binder bolt at the seat cluster as well as adding one to the Freuler extension. Did they cut any sort of bog bone shaped slot to allow the seat cluster binder to be effective?

My recent addition, a MX Leader in beautiful molteni orange with full Campagnolo Super Record. The previous owner believes it was one of the few last frames painted in the old Eddy Merckx factory. It's in almost pristine condition, I try to ride her 3 or 4 times a week.

Truly an amazing collection, bonzoxedge, simply stunning.
And now, for something completely different, as I decided to go SRAM on this.
Wheels are not SRAM, but are hand-builts, and I didn't have any Kinlin decals.
Like my former Corsa Extra, this bike makes me wonder how much better the other models could possibly be.
The bike is so far over my head, riding an EMX-5 or EMX-7 would really be a waste of equipment.
This is an "endurance bike," and well under 16 lbs. The full-on "7" or the new "525" must be unreal.

^ Love it! I have always loved the looks of the Pinarellos but now my LBS just started carrying the new EMXs and I'm afraid to test ride one as I'm not quite ready to open my wallet that far!

I love all of your EM's, but this one is in my dreams tonight
How do you date the bike? I got an MX-Leader and I would love to know how to date it.

I just looked up the code at the cadre.org/merckx page. Especially the code at the right side of the bottom bracket. It seems to be good or less working with the frames I have.

Thanks. Competitive Cyclist has a limited number of them for sale at prices well under what the frames cost when new. Note that there are differences in top tube geometry from 2011 to 2013. I've been looking at an LXM frameset for sale locally, looks more relaxed.

That's cool, thanks a lot! I heard about the page, but it didn't work on my iPad I guess. So it's the letter that indicates the year… Man, I got a more modern bike than I thought!

First bike of a lifelong collection:
1984 Professional 57cm
All original, as far as I know, down to the bar tape with the exception of the wheels/tires
Serial 7CP 8485 Z
Bike was found hanging in a restaurant in NC and purchased by a collector/shop owner in 1992? He sold it to me this week.
Question:
There isnt a Columbus sticker on the frame anywhere. However, there is one on the fork that says Forcella Originale Columbus. In the 1984 brochure pic, there is a Columbus sticker located at the top of the seat post. All other stickers are in good to excellent shape and there is no indication that a Columbus sticker was once there.
Thoughts/Info?
Thanks!

I just picked this up on ebay. Should be getting it in a couple weeks. I'll update with my finished build, I will be using modern components.
Serial number: P 7XB D 5513
It seems like this isn't a very common color scheme?
