There's another U-lock through the rear wheel and seat stays.

He's my foul weather bike now, but I have some sew-ups I put on for summer.
Bonus - just bought a 7-Eleven cycling cap to wear under my helmet on Flemish weather days.

Ya know, it's a little known fact that I actually have one of these - a plain-jane maroon 1985 Professional, with pantograghed everything.

Here is my 1991 Century with TSX tubing. At first I thought it was team Motorola but now I believe it is Team Telekom. Full Campagnolo Croce d`Aune groupo except hubs which are Mavic and Cinelli panto stem w/ Cinelli criterium bars.

I put 40 miles on her on Sunday and all I have to say is WOW! The only other steel frames I can compare it to are Reynolds 531 and Super Vitus 980. The Columbus TSX seems to be a bit stiffer than the Reynolds or Super Vitus. The geometry feels really good especially on long climbs. There is no way I will ever part with this bike, its too awesome.

I have a question. Why are miamijim's stays all chrome and gomango's 3/4? I have seen other Century Merckx bikes with just one stay chromed. Are they different years or what? Great pics everyone! Keep em coming.

Mostly Mischief
Haven't had it too long, but used it plenty. My SGRB (Saturday Group Ride Bike).
Recently averaged 22.1 mph for 43 miles, and still got dropped on the last hill climb.
Changed to white tape and white Ti Flite, Campy (Look) pedals and Thomson Elite post. Also shortened the chain one link and closed the brake lever.

And here I had just forgotten about my ambition to own a Merckx. You guys made me remember real quick. I hope to see the other team colors pop up in this thread!

Thanks! When your wife gives you bar tape for your birthday and says she can't wait to see it your new bike, on she goes pronto.
Nice bikes everyone. It will be fun to add to this thread as time goes on, so many beautiful bikes.
Heh Miamijim, it looks like ours have a lot in common! Yours is a little newer though.

You guys are going to be in trouble when Gilberto returns from deployment.
I think he has 7-8 EM's.

Aaron, we are patiently waiting. Yours is one of the bikes we talked about on the ride yesterday. What an incredible bike.
Also, Aaron, we met a guy the other day on our ride. He was riding his father's Motorola. It looked like it was transported through a time warp. Total perfection. My size even. He wouldn't let us take a pic, but a riding buddy said he had seen him before on a TCBC ride.
We'll have to wait and see.

Thanks guys :-) I'm definitely proud of it. I have most of the dura ace bits for it now, but I'm finding it hard to take off the beautiful c-record/record group currently on it.
I'd LOVE to see your friend's Motorola! There's one on a site, I forget the name, supposedly Andy hampsten's. That one is also Reynolds 753.

GR, I think that your collection is fantastic. They look to be all different sizes - are they?
