Suntour Fine Pitch Thread

I have been finding some difficulty in locating a nice stainless or chrome screw to finish off the square braze-on left from my ailing Symmetric shifter. The size is M6 x .75mm (thread pitch). Normally the pitch would be 1mm. I've done about 3 hardware stores and Google.
I plan on getting a vintage Suntour clamp-on shifter and use the square braze-on as a boss for the shifter.

I have a pair of suntour symmetric shifters that I'm not using and they're kind of beat up. I'll go look and see if the screw is there, and if it is you can have it.

edit: Unfortunately I don't seem to have the mounting screw either.

this is a single SS bolt, they may have the fine thread in other styles and materials (which might cost less, too) search for M6 and .75mm thread pitch
Edit: Wow, that's a very hard combo to find, most fine thread metric bolts are M8 and up, your best selection for M6 in .75 pitch is set screws (AKA grub screws):

I'm no expert in screws so I don't really understand what the .75mm pitch is but check out Loose Screws. They have an odd assortment of parts and hopefully one fits the bill.

I don't need the Symmetric mounting screw. I just need a Stainless or chrome fastener to fill the threads that used to mount the shifter. What I need is (if it exists) M6 x .75mm pitch x 50mm length.
It's an anal cosmetic thing... I can't leave unattended threads alone! I can't believe it's that difficult to find this size fastener. Thanks for the responses.

Try Fastenal, they have a store on 124th South of Silver Spring in Butler. I recently bought a M10X1.0 (only place I found it) for straigthening derailler hangers and the tap for it and other metric bike sizes too. They had to order it - took a couple of days. Unless of course a C&Ver sets you up.

If you are just filling a hole cosmetically, can you try to cross-thread a nylon M6 screw in there? It won't damage the original threads and plug up the opening.

well, they do seem to be very scarce, other than the 80mm bolts at Fastenal, I can't find anything from my usual sources (Mr. Metric in San Jose might have more, but their website is kaputt). You'd have to hacksaw the 80mm to size and dress the ends with a grinder, but that and $4.60 would do you up a pair.
