Help identify this bike

Hi,

Can anyone help me identify this bike? Found it locally for pretty cheap but neither I nor the owner knows what it is.

Thanks!

Are you from Canada? This looks like a Gardin. Maybe Loria model. Could you take a picture of the tubing sticker on the seat tube?

Canadian made and Olympic history...

Yup. That is a Canadian made Gardin. I have owned a few of these bikes and at the moment the favorite bicycle in my collection is a Gardin Anniversary. It has also been my good fortune to own a Gardin TNT, a Gardin Special, and a Gardin 400.

You will like this bicycle but look it over carefully. Gardin bicycles, and their predecessor, the Cambio Rino, were know for quality control issues. My Anniversary is near perfect and rides like it is not there.

To help with model identification you will need to send us more pictures depicting frame details.

Hope this is a help.

Thanks for the input. I'll see if i can get a pic of the seat tube sticker. I don't have the bike yet, i'm just trying to figure out whether it's worth checking it out in person and buying.

Any areas of the frame that you'd like to see in particular? I can request some more pictures

Get a picture of:
the crank and FD
the RD and freewheel
the seat tube sticker
and there seems to be a model name on the front end of the tob tube

This way, we can tell more, including what the components are. From here, the brake levers look like the anodized 105 92+ BL-1055 that were paired with super SLR brakes (and this is a very good thing). Also, the seller has clipless pedals. That's a good indication. You don't put clipless on a boat anchor.

Found out it has Shimano RX100 components and a 51cm frame. No new pics yet though

Any guess on it's value?

What is the frame material?

I'll ask. We're just going back and forth by email and he's pretty slow

On the inner tube:

Champion
No. 100 Butted Tubes
Chromolybden Steel

Mid range bike, early 90's build (RX100 was 90-92 or so). If I were looking for a bike and liked the look of this one, I'd give $120-$200 for it depending on market.

Cool. He's asking $250 so maybe I'll low-ball and see where he settles.

Thanks for the help.

btw, would you trust it to get you 20km to and from work a few days a week? I'll have to go take a look
