Thanks all! It's a 1976 according to this very helpful site ... https://bhovey.com/Masi/masidates.htm The serial # is MC 62 (size) 07 99 which makes it the 1824th give or take out of Carlsbad I think. According to seller it has approx 1000 miles on it. Campy Record with a Cinelli Buffalo suede seat. It was on ebay and I worked out a buy it now with the seller as I was going to be slammed at work when the auction ended. I'm excited! Gonna have to break out the Breaking Away dvd again.

Very nice, indeed!

That front derailleur cable is supposed to run under both cable guides, on the left side.

Was this one repainted? I'm not sure that "Masi America" decal was normal in those earlier Carlsbad bikes. Plus there's a thick, wet look to the paint.

I haven't seen it in person yet although I'm told it's original paint with approx 1000 miles. Hadn't even noticed the short routing on the cable, good catch. According to the Masi website I posted above I think it's the correct decal for the year. It was made in the later day's of the Carlsbad facility.

Was watching that one myself. Didn't think it would sell for that much though, was wondering if it was going to get an opening bid at $1250. Congratulations, sure looks nice!

Thank you, Probably overpayed by a fair amount but I was gonna be swamped at work and I wanted it. I bid on a GE Buck frame only the other day that went off for $380.00 which I didn't win when I started to figure what it was going to cost to equip a frame with a Record Gruppo and accessories the price on the Masi didn't sound so bad to me.
