I finished the cosmetic restoration on this bike, which is going to be my best rider. I hope the red bar tape isn't too loud.

Looks great, the bar tape is niiiicceee.
Is it 531 professional? I've always wanted a late 80's peugeot with that tube set.

Yep. It's light as a feather. It also dents real easy.

Purty indeed. I've always held older Peugeots in very high esteem - they ride far better than their price or reputation would suggest. But then I'm not an Italo-snob.

Lovely job. Any reason you held on to the original brake levers/bars, rather than swapping them out for aero levers and newer handlebars?
The one big mistake I made when restoring my Pug was not swapping out the original bars - next year, when I change the bar tape, a set of ergo bars are definitely going on.
But, just to repeat, fantastic resto job, what a looker.

I like it. The tape looks good; with the red bag they balance each other.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. Barchettaman, it wouldn't be a Pug without those bars!
