so glad I didn't....

when I dug out my buried Vintage out of the basement, I was this close (fingers are really close together) to make it a SS. thank you all. you had something to do with that, I had been trolling here for a while and after reading posts here, I decided to build it up as a Restomod.....so glad I did, I love this old steel, and after 15 years of it being a basket case, it's so fun to ride

Hows it workin out with the Triple crankset and the Dura-Ace RD? They've got a pretty small chain wrap capacity, and I've sorta been on the fence about getting one because of that.

Great lookin bike...looks like you might stand to go a size bigger on your next one.

I am glad you are enjoying your old flame. is that the only pic we get? what kind of bike is it?

acpeeps 04-13-10 09:34 AM

it's a old school Dura Ace, and I've had no problems with the set up, but it has been only a week

the stem is a bit long and this pic was taken before adjustments were made....

Nice job with the Jubilee. Your is an 80's right, so Vitus or 1020 tubing?

I like what you did with the compact triple, too. Very nice rebuild.

it's a early '80 Motobecane Grand Jubilee, repainted in 1996. it's 1995 Hyundai accent Jungle green

Maddox, all i know is that it's Columbus...and the butting is what they called their inexternal.....I wish i knew more. it was originally white, and the only catalog I have found is from '84 (that year they were a two-tone blue). so I'm just calling it a early '80's
