Whoa! eBay seller Galibier95 has gone over the edge

https://shop.ebay.com/galibier95/m.ht...ssn=galibier95

Looks like he's selling a whole store full of stuff, in multiples, much of it NOS.

He often has a wonderful selection of parts, but this is one of the first times I've seen a lot of multiple item auctions from him.

The seller must need to raise some cash quick.

He could get more for the items in total if he didn't have such large lots.

Not many people need 6 Weinman calipers, but a lot of people might be interested in 1 or 2. If the ending price is low enough, someone could buy the lot, use the one or two that they need and flip the rest at a reasonable profit

There are enough other sellers out there with the buying power that I suspect the prices will be reasonable. May not be as much as individual pieces, but I see some bidding wars in the future for some of those auctions.

I've never seen red or black Super Champion tubular rims like he's selling. I hope he's not selling out and getting out of the business. I always enjoyed looking at his stuff.

Jesus! That's a lot of nice NOS gear. He must really be in a pinch, if he were to sell it over time he could make a lot more money.

Maybe he's been trying to sell a lot of stuff and has finally managed to put up many listings at once.

Oddly, he doesn't have anything I want or need, except for the Bluemels fenders, and I'm not spending that much on them.

exclusively. I think I sold my last pair of clinchers (or gave them away) over 5 years ago.
the one downside I see is I'm negotiating selling one of my bikes and the seller doesn't want tubulars, have
to find some campy 8 speed clinchers or rebuild the existing wheels. . .

i've been watching this seller's auctions for awhile. in the past, he's offered items individually. maybe now he needs to move his inventory quickly. either way, he has some of the nicest vintage NOS around.

Zing!

I've had some email correspondence with Gailbier, and he is on the approved seller's list on VeloBase which means he's expressed permission for me to snag photos from his auctions after they are done to use on VeloBase. The quality of his photos has improved as of late, and are larger in size than his older layout. I doubt he's clearing the last of his inventory, probably just offering up some lots to make room for new NOS goodies.

I used to have a little TA bottle like that, I forget what I used it for. I do remember carrying it in 100+ mile road races -- they fit in a jersey pocket very comfortably.

The "doping" bottles were used at the end of a long grueling stage and had a mixture of caffeine and booze in them to give you a jolt, kind of a CV Red Bull.

I'm looking for a good matched set of 27" 36 spoke tubular rims for a Raleigh restoration...
