Where do I buy new straps?

Hello!

I've been building an old peugot (repainted fixed-gear but still) and all I need is some straps for the clips. Sadly my economy is in a bad shape (student) and I need to get something really sheap. Do you guys have any tip where to find cheap but not dangerous straps? Best would be if it where in Europe too.... A long shot i suppose but Ill give it a try!

My idea was like 20 bucks but I could go higher if I have to.

god bless!

Velo-orange has some for 15 dollars, the shipping cost could be a problem though.

unless you are looking for Binda straps, I can't believe your LBS does not have some inexpensive nylon ones.

MKS makes some really nice brown leathers for 30 USD. If you search online maybe you can find a vendor in Europe for less shipping.

Jonatan

I have some nylon straps that I'm not using (nor will I) they can be yours for the shipping price.
Send me a PM with address and I can send them along.

Marty

I got some decent NOS French straps about a month ago from World Class Cycles www.worldclasscycles.com for about $12.00 plus shipping - should be $20 total.

Ohhhhh, my apologies I didn't notice Sweden! World Class is in New York, near New York City. I'm sure they ship across the Atlantic, I just don't know if the cost is as low as $8.00.

I think Amazon would ship to Sweden. Their toe straps are every bit as anything you'd buy from a boutique dealer like VO or Rivendell.

Problem solved

I bought some nylon-straps at Swedish biltema (like Wallmart but with just car/bike/motorcykle/boat/outdoor/diy-stuff) 3 Euro and they seem do work just fine!
I also bought some brakes and stuff so maybe there will soon be a new post in the "show us your vintage mtb"
