Hmmm... I don't think there will be many more than one here. Shouldn't this thread be called "Show me your classic pink and white crackled finish bikes"? Sorry couldn't resist! I really do know that it is red.

Just for that, I'm going to make a point of finding a bike with that kind of finish, that isn't a Fuji, and post it here. Btw, My Univega appears pink in pictures, but is vibrant cherry red in person.

This one's crackly in spots, runny and drippy in spots and just rubbed off in others. It's also got a crackly tire and a crackly seat and the chain makes crackly noises, too.

I think Fuji may have other crackles, but I think this is the only red crinkle around. at one of the shops we had a Univega (Ithink) that was white whit a neon green spiderweb. it was a very unusual paint scheme. I actually reminded me of the grease discolored patina of an old white bike.

HHmmm what about a 'crimped' tubing thread...

I've been waiting for you to publish this bike. Very nice. Please post more pics including closeups of the paint job. I've posted this many times before, but it is relevant here: 1987 Team Fuji TT with turquoise crackle. These are beautiful paint jobs and you can't do justice with photos. You have to see it live and run your fingers over the texture of the paint.

OOOOOHHHHHH!!!! I like what you did with the barcons there. One of those Teams is on "the list" someday. What the heck is it like to ride? I've never been on one of those funny bikes.

And you're right, the paint just has to be seen and felt...and yes, quite appropriate for you to post that here, even though not red crackle

His is defnitely red. There actually was a pink one, and I tried hard to get him to buy it, a 60cm pink one here on CL. He declined.

OK so it's not cracked red, but this bike needs to be returned to it's original condition. All I need is a donor Japanese bike to pirate parts from. Then I'll be a Fuji guy like khatfull.
