"Raleigh Canadian"?
1 Attachment(s)
I wasn't aware that there was a model of such a name. I'm surprised I haven't run into one before. I understand that Raleigh had a canadian plant but a bike called "Canadian"?
Any info? |
Very cool. Resembles a clubman in it's current incarnation. I'd bet those handlebars are not original, but I could be mistaken.
Also, let's not even speak of the cable routing. It's obviously problematic. But cool find - looking forward to what some of the more informed fans will share on the topic. |
I agree. The bars were not intended for a three speed and it IS a three speed. The shifter is near the center of the bars.

What date is marked on the rear S-A hub?

If you have the original hub, you can date the year the bike was built. If you don't then you have to find the year of manufacture from the serial number on the bike frame.

Any info? If it has the braze on cable guide it's likely between 57 and 59...SW hub perhaps? |
The bike belongs to an acquaintance. I don't have access to it right now.
Clubman, thanks for the info. |
