Galaxy frame renovation

Hi all, I enjoy the forum but this is only my second post.

I'm in the middle of renovating an old Dawes galaxy, have almost finished preparing the frame for painting, take a look a the pics below. I will upload more as I go along. This is my first project and although im really enjoying it I was hoping for some advice..

Firstly I snapped the plastic cable guide which clips underneath the BB as I removed it. Numpty I know, although I was as careful as I could be but it was quite brittle. Does anyone know of a good place I can get hold of a replacement? (See here) And secondly the only place I've found for decals is on ebay here. These aren't exactly the same as the originals so I was wondering if there is anywhere else?

Appreciate any help.

Simon

You should pull the two headset cups before you paint.

Your local shop should have a variety of bb cable guides. Just take the piece(s) to them.

The headset cups came out quite easily in the end.

Here's a few pics of the paint job, I think its come up quite well. So well it means anything that goes on it will have to be super clean. At some point I need to source a rear mech, would anyone recommend any one in particular.http://i418.photobucket.com/albums/p...s/4e3c3f78.jpg
