Victoria from Victoriaville...

Got my hands on this neat old Victoria, made in Victoriaville, Quebec. The two speed roadster, with its 28 inch wheels, is in great shape although I do wonder if it has been repainted.

I could not resist, and, after checking the bike over, took it out for a spin. The bike is like most old roadsters. Slow to get going but, once underway, the inertia seems to propel the bicycle almost by itself. Cool, and I just might add one antique roadster, to my ever changing collection of Canadian made bicycles.

1948???

Nice find! Any idea of the vintage?
My guess, based on the two digit number stamped on the SA rear hub, would be 1948. This old bike is a treat to ride, assuming that one can get past any kind of performance comparison issues. Just a relaxed old tractor to get around on. That said, I have tried any hills, yet. Up or down:-)
