You know that's a Four Loko, fender1. He's gettin' crunk out in the woods. Drifter style.

Officially its Capt. Beachcomber, given to me a long long time ago. In those days, a bunch of us from work and college would gather annually at Assateague State Park to camp on the sand. One year, my "friends" convinced me I lost my car keys out on the beach. Already not thinking clearly, I spent the next few hours walking up and down looking for them. Over the years and on different forums, the name has taken on variations depending on how well I'm paying attention when joining.
And no avatar because every weekend I say I'm going to take pictures of the bikes against the sea grass. And I never do. Maybe this weekend.....

I couldn't think of a username. Then I looked at my dog (who is the alpha dog in our house, out of 2 dogs). It hit me! I decided to use AlphaDogg, as AlphaDog was taken.

I did not pick my username it was thrust upon me by freinds and family. It does not imply I have some vast knowledge of bikes but, more of a pasion.

I like to use my real name on forums. But I don't think it would allow me to have just "Sally" so I had to add something. Tried various things and in the end it ended up being v8sally because I drive an old Rover (1981 3500SE). I don't know how I get an avatar!

Uh, nuthin'. I started using this username in the late 90's when I started using a PDA for email and internet access. Hence, mobile mail. It's just easier to use it than to have a bunch of different usernames everywhere.

With mine, "realest" is gangta speak for "most real/the best/coolest". "VIN" stangs for the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) identifying a car. The "7" is a special identifier designating the LC2 powerplant in my '87 Buick Turbo T. My avatar is one of the coolest album covers of all time. Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here".

Very creative thread, thanks for all the laughs!
People living here perform vowel shift pronunciation, so to call it out I went with a capital A. Phonetically sounding like Chicaawgo, (go ahead try it out, nobodies look'in. That's the ticket, harden that A sound).
Youse guys wit piles abikes, how da hell do you know which ones you're gonna drive when you wake up in da mornin!?
My steel commuter/beach/road bike was made at 1856 North Kostner Ave in '72. Driving it daily brings out my inner punk!
I secretly call my bike 'Sledge'. It will never be "Sporty" or "Sporty due," but she sure pounds the pavement.
Avatars and photos escape me for now...

verktyg means "tool" in Swedish. Back in the 80s I was involved with a Swedish metal cutting tool manufacturer. I've used that online name for years. The picture was taken while Rough Stuff riding (off road on road bikes) in the mountains of New Mexico in 1977.

It's my first name and I'm the third. Damn I'm original. My avatar is the Native American GI Joe figure "Spirit" because I was a kid in the 80's and loved GI Joe's and I am also Native American(3/4 Potawatomi to be exact).

When I first converted my mountainbike commuter into a singlespeed, I kept the hyperglide freewheel on - as soon as the wheel slipped in the dropout and the chain loosened, it would drift up and down that freewheel seemingly at random.
