Bianchi Limited ... Not sure what to do
Hello all: I've just dusted off a Bianchi Limited circa mid 1980's but not sure of exact build year. I've been hanging on to this bike for two reasons: 1) I was hoping one of my daughters might want to ride with old Dad 2) It's just a beautiful bike. The bike is small, with a seat tube length of 49 cm and a top tube of 51 cm, and I'm afraid they will soon out grow the frame. I'd like to find out a little more about this bike, and determine if there is a market for it should I choose to sell it. The number on the bottom bracket is "A 3 5 3 2 C 5"
All components are Shimano 600
Made in Italy sticker
Bianchi Special Columbus stickers
Mavic rims laced to Shimano 600 hubs with Stainless spokes (I think)
Any input would be appreciated.

That's a beautiful bike - there is a market should you choose to sell, but I don't see why your daughters shouldn't be able to enjoy riding it.
It looks to be in spectacular condition. Throw some oil on the chain and let 'er rip!

Bikes: a heavy old steel Frankenbike Gitane, a cruiser (not something I'd buy for myself, but it was a gift, what can you do?), a Greg Lemond, a Specialized Stumpjumper(old, steel, fully rigid), and a Specialized Safire

I was watching a couple of those on ebay recently. One went for $150, the other went for $450. There's a market for them for sure. I would have been thrilled if my dad had given me a bike like that!

Hello, that is great looking Bianchi and it appears to have seen little use. near as I can tell it is a '85 model.

Had a Bianchi Limited and admired the detail workmanship. I can't see the fork crown, mine had the Italian eagle cast into the crown, which added more value. I bought the bike on CL for $150 and sold it for $450 on CL after upgrading the components to Campagnolo entry level parts and selling off the Shimano 600 parts. I rode the Bianchi for a few hundred miles and it's not a bad bike.

I had the same bike in a larger size that I hated to sell. I'm pretty sure it's an 85. At least that's what mine was in the same exact color and everything original. The tubing is not expensive high-end stuff, but it is good quality. I really appreciated the ride of this bike and it 'is' desirable to some. I would hope that one of your daughters would take after Dad and want to ride it. But, it is 'old school', and a road race bike may not appeal to them right now. Keep the photos, because they may one day reminisce and wish they had it back. The components on this bike are 1st rate in my opinion. There is only one Shimano group above it. It appears to me that it is all original down to it's brake hoods and bar tape which is important to some potential buyers. It is the small size as you say, so that limits the potential buying group. But, to put a price on it, I sold mine for $285 and had higher offers. I think you could get upwards of 200 for it. But, it seems a shame because it is such a nice vintage bike in such good shape.
