Paletti - please identify this bike (what model). Good buy?
Hi guys and girls
I have just bought a Paletti Luciano from a second hand shop in South Africa. In your terms, I paid $160. Was that a good buy? I would be most grateful if anyone can tell me anything more on the bike or the company. Many thanks. Greg.

I have already read through the entire thread on Paletti for which you gave me the link, before I even joined the forum. It's great, and very interesting. I have also been in contact with M. Paletti through the ciclipaletti site - he's the one who told me that the bike was built in '82 or '83. But I would still love more information.
Thanks also for your comments, Miamijim - now I don't know what to think in terms of the age of the bike!...
If anyone knows of another resource for information, I'd be delighted. As I said at the start, trying to converse with the guys at Paletti, when I talk English and they talk Italian, is a bit of a nightmare.

Nice find! I'd say it's a great buy! No clue about an estimate for the value, but if I had to guess I'd say you came out well on top of that deal!
