Dura Ace 7400 and modern 8sp HG cassette compatibility

I bought an 8sp DA 7400 group off ebay, but it didn't come with the rear cassette. Would modern Shimano HG 8speed cassettes be compatible, or do I have to get something NOS from the same era? Thanks in advance!

I have the same set up on my paramount, 8 speed dura ace w/ an HG 12-26 cassette - works great!
