Too Long; Didn't Read. But here's my opinion Anyway
(pə-dān'tĭk)
adj. Characterized by a narrow, often ostentatious concern for book learning and formal rules: a pedantic attention to details.
https://dictionary.reference.com/browse/pedantic
Its the reason why you can never say anything factual around anyone with a google search nearby without including at least a minimum of two "wiggle words"
Wiggle words Include:
"In My Experience"
"Mostly"
"By-and-Large"
"Frequently"
"Generally"
"Most Often"
"To My knowledge"
NEVER use words like:
"Always"
"Never"
"Did Not" - unless in conjunction with "To My Knowledge"
"Can Not"
"Won't"
Strong decisive words like those will raise the ire of eager googlers.

If I recall correctly I believe (think) that we are in agreement here,
however YMMV.

I'm surprised that you forgot the most used wiggle words out there!
"I think"......
In the end, anyone can say "who the heck really cares what YOU think"?!

Heh - when I was a rookie consultant, they sent us off to roll-playing camp in order to learn "soft skills" for when we were in front of clients.
"In my experience" was in the first chapter.

Frequently in my experience, my posts are by and large, to the best of my knowledge, most often generally correct.

My two least favorite words are when anyone says, that something is a "proven fact". I have yet to have seen any proof to go with such a statement, and I have yet to have seen such a statement be a fact. Those two words when strung together set off alarm bells with me...

Maybe, possibly, some of my current replies might be construed as correct, whereas my replies of a few years ago were perhaps less than enlightened.

I've always found it easiest to fall back on how we did it in Erie, PA 35-40 years ago. Nobody, but nobody can possibly dispute that.
And just in case I'm wrong on the last statement, I can take comfort in having found an old member of the Presque Isle Bicycle Club. If that isn't win-win, I don't know what is.

Riding like its 1990
That may have been the fact in the 90's but in these post 911 days of recession, it's largely irrelevant, and that's a fact.
