Thinking about building a fixie.
Was thinking about turning this into a fixie. :p I won't be cutting off anything just yet. Am I insane?
The rear wheel on this tacoed and the hub was used on another bike, I was figuring on turning those bars upside down (they're aluminum!) and building a flip flop hub setup for the rear wheel. Also putting on an old french leather saddle in my parts pile. OK, what do you think? :innocent: http://lh3.ggpht.com/_OS2jMjzi4FM/S8...0/HPIM0077.JPG |
Rip the brakes off and do it as a Single Speed w/ a Coaster Brake :D

Go for it. Why not?
|
I think it'd make a beautiful fixie. Don't forget foot retention!
|
I'd say go for it. A fixed gear bicycle can help improve your spinning abilities and cadence, plus it's fun!
And I'm sure others will reiterate this, but don't kill any kittens. |
That's a nice frame, but it's not like it's all original. It's worth trying. Enjoy it.

It has horizontal dropouts, right?
I built a fixed gear just so I could try it. I didn't like it, and now the bike has gears again. No harm done. |
Do it up.; If you don't like it you can always change it back to a geared bike or sell it on CL
