Monarch bike
Hi Yesterday I asked about a Roadmaster bike. Sorry all. I'm told that the bike I'm searching is a Monarch, NOT a Roadmaster. For a short story I'm looking for the scoop on the bicycle. This bike had battery operated turn signals, and tail light built in the "deck" over the rear fender, and controlled from a switch on the tank. This bike had high wide handlebars black rubber grips. White sidewall tires. Black seat that was bigger, fatter than a normal seat. It was heavy with all the steel. It had an enclosed tank with a, I believe, round plastic medallion or logo of some sort mounted on both sides of the tank. It had pedal operated brake by applying rear pressure. It would have had to have been made in the years 1952-1957. I never saw a color other than (primary color) green. The headlight was built onto the front fender. I'd like a picture of any type (Outside of the one very similar currently on ebay) to be certain we are on the same page or if possibe the number or the name of the model. I can locate pictures but not this boat. It might have been in the $70 range when most bikes were in the $20 or $30 range. Only saw two of these and none ever in a store. One in Western PA and one in Cincinnati. Please advise. If you have links please let me know that too.Sorry but once again the bike for which I'm searching is a Monarch NOT a Roadmaster. So here goes again.
