Info on San Marco Regal Giromoli saddle

Have a saddle dated from '87 that I'd like a little more info on. It's a Selle San Marco Regal with 'Giromoli' on the nose (the nose also has a flat section) and the single beefiest 'rails' (they're more like beams than rails) I've ever seen on a bike saddle. I'm assuming Giromoli was a racer but can't find anything online. If anyone has any info on this saddle, I would greatly appreciate it.

"Giromoli":Girardi. The Regal Girardi was some kind of special edition, aluminium rails and some perforated as well, I have no clue of who he was though.(shame on me)

Update:

We are proud of our decades of history. Our organizer, Comm. Luigi Girardi, with insight and sagacity created in Rossano Veneto an entrepreneurial model to admire and follow. Today the founder's grandchildren - Luigi and his brothers Luca, Giovanni and Antonella - have inherited his dynamism along with the management of Sella San Marco. They run Selle San Marco with the help of their enthusiastic parents Antonio and Giuseppina, who are occupied daily in the firm. "We are approaching 70 years in business, seventy years of vast and constantly increasing production, all of it in Italy," says Luigi Girardi. "We developed and manufactured famous saddles like the Regal, Rolls and Concor, Era models, ridden by the greatest champions of cycling. "Every year we've added new patents and solutions to our collection, saddles designed to meet every need of every cyclist."

So apparently Luigi Girardi was(is?) the founder of San Marco.

The "Girardi" saddles were the special line of Regal saddles released in the 80's with all the extra features.
Some had the cast aluminum (or was it magnesium??) alloy rails as the one on the pics and some had special textured or perforated leather covers. They are now hard to find in good condition as most of them were well used because people liked them so much.. So, if you do run across one that is in good shape be prapred to bid high and quick!
This cast alloy railed version is the more desirable of the series, better yet if it has the perforated leather cover on it too.

The rails were magnesium. And you needed a longer bolt if you were fitting the saddle on a Campy SR post (it was supplied with the saddle).
