Parting out or selling complete?

So, I had bought a bike for my wife but she doesn't really ride it! :< So I need to get rid of it. It has an almost full Mavic group (hubs, rims, F/RD, BB, Cranks) as well as campy seat post and headset. I am thinking of keeping the french parts and building up a french bike but am not quite decided on that yet.

The frame is a 3rensho ladies frame. 46cm C-T. No dents and not too scratched up. It has team mavic stickers on it as well, which would explain all the mavic parts.

My question is, Do I make it a ride-able bike or just part it out keeping what I want.

There is an older Moto road bike that I could swap the mavic parts onto and swap the suntour parts onto this bike..

Sadly I am way to tall for this frame :<

Wow. Complete 3Renshos fetch a very nice price, so I don't know...in the interest of bike history, I'd say sell it complete.

Can we please see more (and better) photos???

Here are some more pics. I don't know if it would be historically correct to keep it with the european parts or what the correct build would be. I am assuming they came with shimano or suntour parts.

Part out the bike, easier to ship the frame then the whole bike and less chance of transportation damage. That's only if you go through Ebay, any other media ea Craigslist, local paper won't fetch the kind of money for a great bike. Mike

What gioscinelli said -- part it out.

While possessing some vague period-correctness, the components on that frame otherwise don't make the kind of coherent statement that's likely to give the whole thing any real cachet.

Sell it as parts. Unless it was built from the factory with full Campy Super record, it'll fetch good money as a parts bike. Even if it was SR, you'd probably still fetch good money as parts. It's your bike, as long as you don't make a God forsaken fixie out of it, do as you please.

part it out, and sell me the cranks and F/RD

Actually there is a 62cm 3rensho road that was converted on velospace. Terrible powdercoating, hacked off shifters.. its terrible.. :<

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
