Mongoose Decade
 

I have an old Mongoose Decade from the 80's and someone told me it was worth some money. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out here. Is it worth anything? Thanks!

What year, condition, etc. Everything is woorth something to somebody, right?

I bought a used one for my elder son several years ago. I paid $70 for it and was told that it had cost about $270 new. It is an incredibly strongly-built machine, with 48-spoke wheels and a "grafted" CrMo frame. The unique brake cable routing permits the headset to be spun continuously for stunts. Ours is currently a rust bucket, sitting in pieces, but I am encouraging my sons to repaint it, so that I can reassemble it and find out what it's worth (or watch them rediscover BMX).
