Here is my 1974 Paramount P10, this came from the family of the original owner that passed away, RIP Uncle Bob. Anyways he had two great bikes (the man had great taste) The first one being this Paramount and the other being the same year Raleigh Professional.
This bike looks to be almost Original the only things to have been changed was the cables, Tires, Tubes, Chain, and Freewheel. The Bar tape is either original or at least era correct. I will eventually get better tires for it but these will have to do for now.
Its a 25.5" Frame 531
Has P2 Stamp so it was built by Don Mainland in Racine, Wisconsin.
Full Campy , even had the optional Campy brakes.
Brooks Professional Saddle

Where is the stamp "P2"? Bottom bracket? Lovely bike. Enjoy!

Scott, I'll risk answering for Kurt. The first generation Paramounts were those built from 1938 until around 1958. Most were built by Emil Wastyn and his son Oscar in their Chicago shop.
The Waterford website has an excellent section devoted to Paramount history HERE.

Do you have any way to confirm or deny if a frame was made by the Wastyn's?

A friend owns this 1984 Paramount with cantilever braze-ons, which I didn't know existed but was apparently an option in 1984, as seen in this catalog page. He got the bike as a frame and fork, so nothing else is original.

Interesting.
That's a respray, too. 1984 would have been a 'Rainbow' Paramount.

I joined the Paramount club a few months ago when I contacted a CL seller in Arizona and worked out arrangements for this 1970 P-13. It came with an ugly gel saddle and, strangely, a Weinmann front caliper with TA rando rack attached. It had the Scwhinn-approved Weinmann rear centerpull and brake levers, but I had a set of Campagnolo NR calipers and levers so opted for those instead. Also had earlier picked up a set of Campy bar end levers from @The Thin Man and since those were an option for the 1970 model, used those too. Brooks Professional saddle, of course, The 27" rims were a bit beat up and the rear kept eating tubes, so I purchased a set of H+Son TB-14's and laced those to a set of NR hubs and added a Suntour Ultra 6 speed 14-24 freewheel. A TA handlebar bottle cage to top it off (odd yes, so am I) and here it is - to me It's perfect. I contacted him today with an updated pic and info - a nice guy, one of the few sellers I've encountered that I'd like to meet.
As received (minus gel saddle)

Thanks - I really love those levers, they shift so smoothly... I did a 40 mile club ride July 4th on the Paramount accompanied by a lovely lady on her Bianchi. To top it all off, there were donuts at each SAG stop, extremely unlikely that I came away from that ride (or the day) with any net health benefit.

Just bought this October 1984 touring frame from @Pompiere and transferred everything over from my 79 Super Course. I am darn excited to get it out on the road but the weather has been garbage the last few days. Other than a quarter mile out and back, I have only been able to look at it. I still have some work to do on the rear fender. Until I get a chance to ride it around and figure out where I want to place the rear axle in the drop out, I am just going to leave it attached directly to the chainstay bridge. If I end up leaving the axle all the way to the back, I will add a link or two to the chain.
I built it up with the Ultegra crank, derailleurs and shifters I bought from @randyjawa. I switched out the chainrings for 48-38-26 rings. I like the black ring.

Nice. So maybe I was confused about when the Rainbow decals were utilized. 1984 catalog shows them, and my August of '84 has them.
I've been under the impression that they were just used for late 83's and through the '84 model year. Anybody know for sure?
Meanwhile, here's a pic of that emerald/teal/bottle green 87 Paramount mentioned above. Came in with mid-level Suntour, now has DA 7402:

@beicster It was good to meet you. That went together fast, but I could see you were pretty excited. I really liked the Paramount, but it was never going to work for me. I am happy to see it go to someone who fits it way better. Hopefully the weather warms up soon so you can take it on a decent ride.

Doc, basically, I've nailed down the time frame for the Rainbow Decals as lasting from early 1983 through August and possibly into the beginning of September 1984 for the Standards. However, also the Elites (fully custom built) overlapped this brief period which have their own decals. The other change that occurred at about this same time was moving the derailleur cables from above to under the BB shell.

1963 P-13 Deluxe. My final 2018 build that I acquired after it was posted in the "Are you looking for" thread (and at an extremely good price, I offered a little more than the ask to ease my conscience). Like my first Paramount, this too came from a seller in Arizona.
It came as pictured below with no wheels, I borrowed a set from another bike for now and I'll build a set next year. It had a tall Nitto stem (most buried in the tube) with modern handlebar and Universal Mod 68 brakes. I replaced those with period-correct Titan stem, S.Maes/Kint bar and Vainqueur 999 calipers. I replaced the ragged-out Brooks with a Professional I had laying around.
No decals, I had to use aftermarket and reconstructed the period seat tube wrap by cutting and combining a 70's Paramount and mid-60's Continental waterslide, the latter with the older Arnold-Schwinn logo wrap. Not perfect, but close.
This one took an awful lot out of me. I'm completely spent and done with building for awhile. For years I've been looking for a Paramount, my grail bike. Now in less than a year I have two. My grail runneth over, I guess...
