My only gripe with them is that the 24" frames are reserved to the highest end models and seem to be uncommon.
I'm digging the off white color coordination on this one.

MikesChevelle, great find. And since you're putting STI on it, you can send that crappy Ole over my way

You know, I never noticed this before. My Circuit is that size, so I assumed they made it across the range. I can also ride and enjoy 63s, but 61 is the perfect size for me.

PS No Ole's all Suntour 7000 with DC brakes

Really nice find.
Do you know if Le Tours were made in Chicago in '84? Mine has a "Chicago" headbadge, but the fork steerer is stamped "Japan" or "Panasonic," or something.

I also have the purple fade in 54cm. Picked it up on CL a few years back for $75 and have kept it, though the frame is about 2cm too small for me. I love the all white Suntour/DiaCompe component group and have thought about stripping it if the right project were to come along.
Happy Holidays Mike, and Merry Christmas!

Le Tours were built in Greenville, Mississippi starting with the '83 models (the Mississippi plant opened in '81 and built some of the Schwinns during the '80's and very early '90's). The Chicago plant closed in late 1983, so no Schwinns were built there after that. There were only two model years that Le Tours were built in Chicago: 1979 and 1980. The Chicago headbadges were used into the early '90's only because the company headquarters remained there. As for your fork, it's probably a Tange (Japanese), they built jillions of forks for a bunch of brands during that era.

I went chasing after a Premis in my size in Charlotte a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, it was really beat. You found a nice one.
