PX-10 1960s. Probably early to mid-60s based on the decals. I think that 1958-9 was the first time they had 531 instead of Vitus tubes. I am sure that miamijim will know more.

I thought 1966 ... because of the simplex fronthub fixation :

Derailleurs are not on the bike, but I've got them. Tey are not original parts...
Parts which seems to be original are :
- Stem and handlebar
- Front wheel and hub
- Seatpost
- Saddle
- Crank & pedals
- Brakes

Those decals are earlier than my 1969. I would agree with EjustE that it's early/mid 60's

Thank you Maddox for including pictures in your post ! I didn't manage to do it ...
Are the différences important between the '63/4/5 models ?
If I whant to find the original parts (derailleurs, wheels...) would it be determinant...

That saddle is worth more than the whole bike is! I believe one sold on eBay for big $
It's an early/mid sixties PX-10, I'm glad it wasn't turned into a purple, drewed-up disaster.

When I have found this bike I "flash" on it, but didn't knew that was a PX10 and all the things over.
At first, restoring this Peugeot seamed to hard for me, so I decided to sell it few days ago. When I saw 50 messages in my mailbox, questions began to hurt me !!
Now I prefer to restore it, that's not sure to find another bike like this one.

Restoration of paint should be easy. The original finish is in excellent condition. You need to locate a product in France that is comparable to the American product Meguiars Scratch X or KIT Scratch Out. A very mild liquid polishing compound should be sufficient. Being very careful around the decals, polish the frame with this liquid. The oxidation and brown spotting will buff off, leaving a sparkling white finish.
Use a metal polish for the aluminum components. They will buff to a high finish too.
That said, after doing so, you should only have to re-install the geared components to return it to stock. It should look fantastic by then.

There is a Meguiars dealer next to my town. I'll try the polish and show you the result.

Congratulations on your find!
I am a big fan of early PX 10s and own a nearly identical model/frame (by the way, I never saw another one except from yours). Only difference I can see: The "Peugeot"-label on mine is riveted to the headtube.
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...geot-PX10-1963
After doing some research I am quite sure that mine is a 1963 model and my guess is that yours is from around 1963 as well.
This paint scheme - white + black/white checkerboards - was introduced by Peugeot in May 1963 on racing bikes (before it was blue + yellow for the racing bikes), and from what I understand, possibly only for the team bikes.
According to corresponding website-informations the "peugeot"-decal on the downtube was renovated in 1964 to give it a more modern appearance by rectangular font type.
The Stronglight "63" crank has been introduced in 1963 and seems to be quite rare, too. It's not featured on VeloBase to date.
https://www.classiclightweights.co.uk...line-comp.html
I added some pictures to my thread showing Tom Simpson winning Bordeaux - Paris (557 km = 346 miles/ one day) on 26 Mai 1963.
What frame number is your bike (bottom bracket, 6 digits)? Mine is 366xxx

must have happened after September 1965 because the rainbow stripes derive from Tom Simpsons WC win on 5th September 1965 (Lasarte/San Sebastian, Spain).

Week-end is not long enought, I didn't manage to buy the polish yet.
Yours (qd-s) seems to be similar (logos...). You can note, on the other and, my fork as no "Reynolds 531" decals like yours.
The old man who sold me this Peugeot told me that it was a team competition bike for sure.
The frame number is 362XXX. That's not sure it means mine is older !
