I did the research on this site and elsewhere so I know the history but still not sure if it's anything out of the ordinary or just a very nice riding bike. Tange Prestige tubing. 600 tricolor except the front hub is Mavic and brake levers are Dura Ace. 7 speed indexed and has the 39/53 chain rings. Date codes on components put it at '88 I believe but I am not sure when the frame was made.

It seems to have a short wheelbase so it's a little more twitchy than I am used to. Seat post is 27.2. Looks like the crank had the oven cleaner treatment and polished.

It's in great shape but not sure if it's a keeper yet.

Nice bike. Underrated. Notorious even. Maybe their day will come and mine will rise in value.

it will happen, repechage. all the ingredients are there: masi + confente ties, the hair bandit scandal, quality workmanship, good colors. what can go wrong?

anyway, to the OP: i would most certainly keep it if it fits, especially in that condition. beautiful.

My youngest brother rides an identical bike.

I purchased the bike for him two years ago when we were vacationing in San Francisco, and shipped it.

The only mistake I made in the entire transaction was shipping it to the wrong address.

I should have shipped it to my address, not his.

Seriously though, he loves the bike.

I think yours is spot on.

A big "way to go" on your purchase.
