Do you guys remember when I asked if anyone had a front Modolo Pro brake caliper? and I was told by a member that I would have a very hard time finding one let alone one with matching serial numbers? Well BABAM! :lol: ;) you can clearly see that the serial numbers match! The rear caliper is still new and the front (that I just got) is used.

Uhhhmmmm...... twins separated at birth??
These came from different persons?? that's amazing! I'm thinking that the chances of finding the lost half of the pair should be close to impossible.

Haha! They are not from different persons. The guy I got the first one off of failed to mention he had the other! So when he asked me to check out his new build last week I took a moment to mention to him that I couldn't find the match, to which he replied,"Oh, thats on my new build, I'm really not happy with........give me $10.00 and its yours!" =0)

serial number on brakes? congrats on your sucess though nice looking brakes

Not really sure why they would put serial numbers on bike components, but they seem to do this on many higher end ones.
SSC deraillers from Mavic have their own little individual serial numbers stamped on their bodies, but what difference does it make in Mavic's instance, as you can practically replace everything on it anyway if needed. I think the companies just use the whole individual serial number thing to give them a little bit of bling factor.
Just to make it wierder, I just aquired an NOS Mavic 851 SSC derailleur set, with everything on it totally new and clean/unused with no signs it had ever been dissasembled.. It even has what seems to be the original grease applied at the factory........but there's no serial number on it for some reason. Same goes for the FD that came with it......Hmmmm....was this some sort of unserialized prototype/bike show set??
