What size is it?
Does anyone have a guess as to what size this bike is? Going to look at it later today.

51cm seat tube
55cm top tube |
Small...ish. If jebensch's measurements are correct you need a longer torso, shorter legs for that frame. Some perspective might be coming into play too if he measured from the pic but it's no more than a 53cm I'd imagine. For a classic bike it looks to have a slightly compact geometry. Anyone else?

thx for the info, I will be picking it up today, local CL buy, owner didn;t know much about bikes. He said it blonged to hisson, been sitting for years.
|
That guy must have huge hands. I'd guess 55cm square.
|
54 st
56 tt What's the prize if we're right? |
Size of the headtube looks the same as those on my bikes: seat tube: 53 cm ctc, top tube looks a little longer, 54 cm.

Looks like a nice bike that will clean up well. |
well the '89 Strada LX only came in 49, 52, 55, 58, 62 so this must be a 52? the TT however is not listed in the geomentry chart. the lowest bike listed is the Sport SX and I am guesing the specs are pretty close the 52 has a 23 TT and the 55 has a 55 TT
the Strada Lx was the bottom road bike that year with a price around $350. the frame is simply listed as Tange ChromeMoly and a HiTen fork so has it been sitting outside? what is the deal with the front brake? what is the price? |
+1 52cm.
|
I picked it up, it's a 52' 55' tt. Has chromoly with suntour components. It will clean up nicley, I thought is was rust but only dust. It is missing the bearing in the headtube. Not bad for $10.
|
where are you finding the specs for older bianchi's.
|
I think I win, don't I?
|
That's the longest head tube I've ever seen on a 52 cm bike.

No they are 700x 23 wheels. The headtube might look longer due to the front brake hanging lose. USA Zorro, I can bring it by and show you it's a 52.
I have it stripped right now, going to regrease, assemble and ride the crap out of it. |

Moi? I have a treasure trove of older catalogs. as for that bike I could just look at it and tell you the year and likely component group. I must have sold dozens of them |

|
What would be stopping you?
