Raleigh Record Ace

Hey Guys,
What do you think of the 2010 Record Ace? The LBS near my work gave me a really good price on one $1,500 out the door . 59CM and up grade the brakes to Ultegra so it will have a matching group set. What are some of my other choices in new steel road bike in this price range?

Mike

I happen to own the orginal Record Ace. The paints look surprisingly alike. There are also diffences: full 531, Campag dropouts, a bit more chrome and of course different geo and spacing for mine.

The new one looks like a nice bike to me. Tasty.

My RA has the full Superbe (or Superbe Pro) group fitted btw.

This is news!
Raleigh is selling a fully lugged, butted Cro-Mo frame and fork, with a horizontal top tube.
Too bad they couldn't have made the Clubman this way also, with sport-touring geometry.
I know, typical vintage-wanker talk.
