My chance to own a Benotto

Hi, I have the chance to buy this Benotto. I dont know how old it is, and I hadnt heard of the make before today, but it looks pretty good, if a little untidy. Could somebody please tell me how much they would expect to pay for this bike and which model it is likely to be. Thanks!

If that is a large dent on the seat tube above the front derailleur I'd keep on looking. I can't help you out as far as info on Benottos but I'm certain someone on the C&V forum will have info.

lol, oh dear! I didn't think it had a dent, if it doesnt have a dent, would you say it was worth having?

Benotto's were, at one time, very nice Italian bikes. Then they moved production to Mexico and they became nice, but not terribly special bikes. If you can get one cheap enough and in good condition, then go for it. Otherwise, pass...

I was providing mechanical assistance at a charity ride, and I happened upon a friendly fellow with a nice looking Benotto. I complimented him on his ride, and replied that it was equipped with 'all Camponelli.'

Ive heard its just a bit of dirt on the frame in the picture not a dent! Would any one know what kind of age/model this bike is and if it is likely to be mexican or italian made? Thanks Sam

It's a dent - there's almost no way it's not, if you follow the contour of the seat tube. Don't buy it.

Looks like the bike is damaged and as most are saying, toast. If you would like more answers please put your inquiries in the following subforum: http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdispl...-and-Inquiries

Thank you
