Holiday, rain you say? Here I am with a couple of friends after riding the Kearsarge Klassic in NH a few years back. The skies opened up a half-hour before we arrived at the finish.
https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8449/...4d8a2e4e_c.jpg And here's a bad photo of me with Peter Weigle after last year's D2R2 (I don't remember feeling as exhausted as I look in the photo). We started out riding together but he dropped me within the first 15 miles! As I pulled in to the finish, he was already changed, cleaned up, fed and boozed. https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2892/...436da58c_c.jpg Timer selfie in the Catskills, last year: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7295/...ed619d63_c.jpg |

Here is my Giro with SLX tubing. This is the smoothest ride I have. It's a real treat to ride. It even makes riding in the rain fun.

Tro, you (or someone) might suggest to your friend to put some ankle straps around the cuffs of his jeans. Getting a cuff caught in a chainring is no fun. Otherwise that looks like a nice ride.

Here's me now, sigh. Since I moved from Lake Charles I have barely ridden at all. When I was there I rode almost every day it wasn't freezing. I have gained 20-25 pounds since then. Made up for it with muscle gain though, at my "new" job. I only ever seem to be skinny and no muscle, or muscle bound and chubby. I am about a day away from trying to meld the two. I am dismantling a chair in the computer room, and putting the Lemond Tourmalet on the trainer. I plan to do at least an hour every night, along with diet change. I hope to be back around 210-215 by Spring,,,,BD
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps77977a2b.jpg Here's me in 2011, believe it or not. I am on the right, The bike shop boss in the white shirt, a coworker next to him in the Fox shirt. On the left??? The infamous "Bamboo Cyclist" Who has since been convicted for a Ponzi Scheme in Utah where he stole a couple of million dollars from unsuspecting investors. I saw right through him the second he walked through the door. He talked like a salesman even in normal conversation, which was more than a little creepy. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps2b671985.jpg And the Bamboo dude... http://www.thespectrum.com/story/new...heme/10113153/ |
The Bamboo Bamboozler! LOL

Hehe.. Well, The Tourmalet is on the trainer. By Spring I want to do some long rides, which is the main reason. Not to mention being healthier. I moved from cigarettes to vapor two months ago, and have not had a tobacco cigarette since. I no longer snore as badly, I can breathe through my nose, and I am not wheezing while I am trying to go to sleep. While probably not as healthy as smoking nothing at all, I have noticed a TREMENDOUS difference in the way I feel overall.,,,,BD

Foreground: another forum member (who may identify himself if he feels like it) enjoying a little rest and taking a "selfie." Do we detect a whiff of Schadenfreude?

Hey all, I'm Zack, in Somerville, MA. I lurk more than I post, but I spend most of my time on C&V and Rando. Many of my bikes are works in progress, but here are my two favorites

Welcome. You'll fit right in here...

Why such a big gap in sizes between the C'dale and Pinarello? Looks to be a good 6-8 cm difference between the two? The Opera looks small since you've got so much post showing and the super long stem? Just curious.

Good timing to do a Gazelle tag team! No photo of me actually on the bike, but here is my work-in-progress Gazelle Champion Mondial and one of me in the center on a cycling outing with my wife's Dutch family in the Hoge Veluwe (a national park)

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=436095 As far as I know there is only one known pic of Robert Johnson, and that was from his back. So far I have no pic with both myself and the Gazelle. |
Tour de Palm Springs 2015
Did 87 miles of 102...not bad for my first century I think http://i1068.photobucket.com/albums/...21-54-49-1.png |
