Nice Hardrock, Velocivixen!

The small word that's difficult to read is, in fact, "Trail". It is a Crossroads Trail. That's what is making this so difficult. Trail is not one of the subcategories on bikepedia.com, so I have been searching images on Google and Yahoo. A couple of months ago I found an image of my identical bike and the person listed it as a 1983. Of course, I can't find that post anywhere now. With your Hardrock having the same color scheme, it lends to the fact that you are right about my Crossroads Trail's true age. Also, I found several images that have it listed as a '93 and '94. Your frame and mine appear to be identical, discounting the difference in decals.

One thing that made me believe it was an older bike is that it had been unloved and neglected for a long time. In fact, it was a dumpster-dived bike. Left in a pile of trash and other junk by the side of the road, I got to it before the garbage truck. Badly rusted cables and brand new tires. It was ready to ride after a few shots of chain lube. It was that find that got me reconnected with my love for cycling after 25 years.

When I first brought it into the garage and flipped it over to have a closer look at the crank, about a quart of rusty water poured out onto the floor. Right now, it's disassembled and waiting on me to decide if I'm going to hit it with some rubbing compound and put it back together and ride it for a while and let the bicycle tell me what it wants to be, or strip the paint to the bare bones and choose a color of automotive paint to spray it with and make it my own brand.

No matter. I appreciate your help. Come ride with us! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Le-To...44456442377068

Not to many pics of me out in the wild.

But here are a couple of me after a 62 mile charity ride out in the wine country of Long Island. Beautiful day, beautiful scenery and yeah, some great wine to!

Welcome to the forum, and yes, stay out of those photos. You could only ruin the pictures of your gorgeous bikes!

Try and do a thread in the non-sticky section of the forum. Your beautiful bikes will get more play there.

Thank you. I'm not so expert of the many sections of this forum. Which is the section in which I can open 3Ds of my bikes?

Me and my bike. She's nothing fancy, but she is my faithful transport everywhere. And I may look old because of the mustache but I'm 21. There is no bike rack at work so I lock her to the motorcycle parking sign. I quite like that lol.

Holiday, rain you say? Here I am with a couple of friends after riding the Kearsarge Klassic in NH a few years back. The skies opened up a half-hour before we arrived at the finish.

And here's a bad photo of me with Peter Weigle after last year's D2R2 (I don't remember feeling as exhausted as I look in the photo). We started out riding together but he dropped me within the first 15 miles! As I pulled in to the finish, he was already changed, cleaned up, fed and boozed.

Timer selfie in the Catskills, last year:
